Stare Jablonki, Poland, August 21, 2014.  Sebastian Fuchs / Thomas Kaczmarek shrugged off a late call to play in the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Stare Jablonki Grand Slam and defeated Maverick Hatch / Christian Redmann to advance to the main draw on Wednesday.

Russia achieves first victory at Tokyo finals

Tokyo, Japan, August 21, 2014.  Russia achieved its first victory at the 2014 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Final Six in Tokyo.  On the second competition day, the Russians shut out fellow Europeans from Belgium, while the third team from the Old Continent, Turkey, lost to host Japan by the same result.

Russia wins XII Wagner Memorial in Krakow

Krakow, Poland, August 19, 2014.  The men’s national team of Russia won the twelfth edition of the Hubert Wagner Memorial tournament that took place in Krakow.  Host Poland and the teams of Bulgaria and China also took part in the 3-day competition on the eve of the FIVB Volleyball World Championship Poland 2014.
