Zenit KAZAN add sixth Russian Supercup to their showcase
Kazan, Russia, November 7, 2017. Zenit KAZAN have claimed their sixth title in the Russian Supercup, following a dominant performance in the matchup with Dinamo MOSCOW, which resulted in a 3-0 victory (25-19, 25-21, 25-14).
The tenth edition of the Russian Supercup took place in conjunction with a match on schedule for the ninth round of the Russian Superleague. Zenit KAZAN are the reigning Russian national champions and winners of the last edition of the Russian Cup as well – whereas Dinamo were the runners-up of the 2016-2017 national league.
The annual Supercup is an opportunity to commemorate a legendary Soviet Volleyball player, Mr Vladimir Shchagin, a two-time European (1950 and 1951) and two-time world champion (in 1949 and 1952) with the former Soviet Union.
