Volleyball set to grow in Armenia with the help of physical education teachers

Yerevan, Armenia, May 16, 2017. In order to grow the game, the Volleyball Federation of Armenia (VFA) organised from May 12 to 14 a series of seminars specifically addressed to physical education teachers from a number of schools.

 

 

 

The VFA delivered the workshops in close cooperation with the Department of Sports Games from the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture. As many as 28 physical education teachers took part in the clinics and all of them received certificates of attendance at the end of the weekend.



On top of this, the VFA provided all participating schools with volleyballs – and a Mini Volleyball championship featuring as many as 13 schools took place on May 12, with all participants travelling home with medals, diplomas and cups provided by the Volleyball Federation of Armenia. The best players received some special prizes too as a tribute to their outstanding individual performances.



VFA Secretary General Karen Asmaryan presented representatives of the schools, which have added Volleyball to their curriculum with sports equipment to provide extra support to their efforts and reward their commitment to grow the game in the Caucasus country.
