On Sunday after the game between Latvia and Russia in Kuldiga, head coach of Latvian Junior men team Jurijs Deveikus said: "Although the goal was to win a medal in this championship, have to say that with the quality of the previous games we have played, we could not succeed, however I am glad that today s game against Russia proved that we can play good enough. Of course there is a lot of work to have a solid team performance afterwards. If we begin the game well, this level should be held to the end. And against Russia on all positions we played a lot better than the previous games."

Russian Team player Loran Alekno is satisfied with the tournament: "We arrived with the aim of winning and we did it. This championship for our team was like interplay tournament and our coach had an opportunity to evaluate each player what he may or may not do on the court. This kind of composition we had for the first time."

As the main competitors in the tournament EEVZA L.Alekno considered team from Ukraine but coach Alexander Karikovs as main competitors named Latvians and Estonians because with these teams will be played Estonia European Championship qualification round match in April.
