EEVZA General Assembly in Tallinn

EEVZA General Assembly Meeting with attendance of Mr. Andre Meyer, CEV President and hosted by Mrs. Vilja Savisaar, President of Estonian Volleyball Federation was held in Tallinn.
Member states – Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Russia and Ukraine – were represented in the meeting, held on Saturday 15th of May at Meriton Grand Conference & Spa hotel, by delegates of each federation, except Lithuania.
Mr. A.Meyer has notified all the EEVZA members about further main activities of CEV and close cooperation with FIVB as well.
Mrs. V. Savisaar, the President of EEVZA, chaired the meeting and here have summarized the activities of 2009-2010, including financial report, also the final competition calendar of Year 2011 and EEVZA Competition Regulations were approved. Due to the increasing role of Zonal associations, here was also stressed, that key persons of federations have to attend meetings.
According the Statutes, rotation of EEVZA chairing have been every each two years. Mr. Vladimir Patkin, Secretary General of Volleyball Federation of Russia, previously succesfully worked as the one of EEVZA Vice-presidents, was unanimously was elected as the new EEVZA President. After the election Mr. V. Patkin was expressed to Mrs. V. Savisaar for succesfull work and proposed the candidatures of two Vice-Presidents - Mr. Maris Pekalis (LAT) and Mr. Miroslaw Przedpelski (POL), which was approved.
In the evening in the presence of Estonian TV, reception by Mr Hanno Pevkur, EVF Board Member, Minister of Social Affairs at Stenbock House - The State Chancellery of the Republic Of Estonia was organized.
